Awarded 2026

‘business of the year’

business of the year: A Chamber Member that makes a substantial contribution to the community, supplies a critical service or product, fills an essential niche in the business environment, and/or has a unique approach to the delivery of goods and services. The Business of The Year should exemplify the best of the Kittitas County business community.

Looking back, I wonder why I ever thought starting a small business from the ground up, during a pandemic no less, was a great idea. The last five years have been more work, overcoming seemingly impossible hurdles, fervent persistence, some tears and an endless one-woman circus vibe than I could not have ever planned for or even imagined. It also has been a time of incredible accomplishments, rewarding partnerships, invaluable lessons, growth and joy. To be recognized by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year validates that fateful day I decided to pursue entrepreneurship. I feel proud of my accomplishment more now than ever and cannot wait to see what the next 5 years and beyond holds for our growing Jam Shop.
